Obituary of Barbara Pace

Barbara M. Pace, 82, of Cazenovia, died Sunday at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. Born on February 28th 1929 to John and Mary Kupetz, she graduated from Coughlin High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1949. She lived in Clifton, NJ for three years and did private duty in the hospitals in Passaic, NJ. In 1952 she married Charles H.S. Pace and moved to Cazenovia where she did private duty in the Syracuse Hospitals and in area private homes. Barbara and her husband owned and operated Cazenovia Greenhouses for many years retiring in 1998. She was a Charter Member of the Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps. A Communicant of St. James Church, Barbara was active in the Senior Citizens group. She is pre-deceased by her brother John and sisters, Ann, Mary and Margaret. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Charles H.S. Pace; her children, Charles (Mary Lou) of Cazenovia, Donna (Bill) Hall of Henniker, NH and Jody (fiancé Scot Smith) of Alburtis, PA; her sister, Irene Giannetti of Pennsylvania; 4 grandchildren Christopher and Daniel Pace, Jason and Kaitlin Hall. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Tuesday at St. James Church, 6 Green Street, Cazenovia. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 Monday at the Tait Funeral Home, Inc. 2333 Fenner Road Cazenovia.
