Albert Edward Tait, III, 54, of Boston, MA, formerly of Cazenovia, died March 7th at his home following a heart attack. He was born in Syracuse, the son of Albert E. and the late Peggy Hopkins Tait (2004). Ed was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and St. John Fisher College in Rochester, where he attained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. He worked for Hearth in Boston. An avid outdoorsman, Ed enjoyed hiking, bicycling and was a fierce advocate for environmental issues. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor and love of family. Surviving are his father, Hon. Albert E. Tait, Jr.; his sister, Anne T. Sharkey (Dan) of Southbury, Ct.; his brothers, Brian (Katie) and Thomas C. Tait, both of Cazenovia; his nephews and nieces, Matt, Sarah, John and Catherine Sharkey, Quinn and Luke Tait; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by his cousin Rev. Edward Hopkins, at 10am Saturday at St. James Church in Cazenovia. The family will receive following the committal in the church hall. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to the Mustard Seed Outreach Program, 6 Green Street, Cazenovia, NY 13035.
