Obituary of Bruce Mapstone

Bruce Douglas Mapstone, 63, of Delphi Falls, passed away at home Saturday evening with his family by his side. Born in Syracuse, he was one of seven children to Charles and Ida Mapstone and graduated from Fayetteville Manlius High School. Bruce was a plumber/electrician with the Morgan-Badgley Co. for several years before becoming a self-employed contractor. Bruce had a passion for having fun and enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes and boating. He was a big NY Giants fan and liked watching SU basketball and football. He was predeceased by his father, Charles; two brothers, Chuckie and David Mapstone. Bruce is survived by his darlin, Martha Jones; his children, Geoffrey Mapstone and Jamie (Tim) Touchette; his mother, Ida Mapstone; three sisters, Connie (Richard) Woodward, Tammy Graham and Roxanne (Rick) Barnaby; one brother, Terry (Kathy) Mapstone; three grandchildren; three step children, Tina Jones, Jerry (Tina) Jones and Gordon (Alaina) Jones; six step grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Rd., Cazenovia. Following the calling hours, friends are invited to join the family for a gathering from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday on DeRuyter Lake at 229 East Lake Rd., DeRuyter.
