Obituary of Henry Marasco

Henry Marasco, 92, of Cazenovia, entered into the presence of his Lord and King on December 24, 2016. The testimony of his love for Jesus and his faithfulness to Him remains an everlasting treasure to his immediate and spiritual families. Mr. Marasco was a United States veteran who served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He worked at Oberdorfer Foundries in Syracuse before retiring in 1982. In 1973, he along with his wife Sarah, became caretakers at Bethany Retreat in Cazenovia, NY serving to further the Lord’s work. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sarah (Marelli) on September 16, 1988 and by his brother, Eugene Marasco. Mr. Marasco is survived by his children, David (Diana) Marasco of DeWitt and Angela (Jim) Sellmeyer of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Michael Marasco, Carolyn (Tony) Pfister and Daniel (Sarah) Marasco; great grandchildren, Quinn Sarah and Anthony Sebastian Pfister; sister, Mary Rebecca Marasco; a brother, Floyd C. Marasco of Washington, PA and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Christian Apostolic Church, 7300 Woodchuck Hill Road, Fayetteville, NY with a service immediately following. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at White Chapel Memory Gardens in DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Apostolic Church. Michael E. Brown Funeral Services has care of arrangements.
