To Gabe's family:
I have been privileged to know Gabe over the past many years that he was at Kinney's. He was and is one of the friendliest, gentle and intelligent men I have ever known. He always greeted me with a smiling face and we joked around about many things! He told me countless stories of his coast guard days and we talked about my daughters as they applied to colleges. My favorite memory is of how I always greeted him as "The Candy Man" since he faithfully prepared the candy aisle for the next holiday, refilling the shelves as needed. He always chuckled when I called him that.
He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. I will miss my special friend...
Love you Gabe,
Lisa

To Mrs. Kinney and children,
Please except my deepest condolences for the loss of you loved one Capt. Gabriel O. Kinney III. Though I did not know him personally, I do know his only brother George P. Kinney, my supervisor, and one who I admire and respect.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ bring you peace, comfort and healing in these difficult times and may your hearts be comforted with His presence.
Very respectfully,
Ray Smith

Dear Carla, Allyson, Erin and Victoria and the extended family,
I was so saddened to hear of Gabriel's sudden passing and extend my deepest sympathy to you. I remember my cousin, Gabe, as one of my Washington cousins and recall a few lovely visits to DC as we were given the guided tour by Uncle Bud and received gracious Aunt Evelyn's hospitality and visited Gabe and Pat.
I have been reading an excellent book on Heaven in which the author (J. Oswald Sanders) reminds us that in heaven we, as believers, will walk every day in the light of His presence.(Psalm 89:15.) What can be better than that!
I doubt that Mary, my sister, and I will make the memorial service but know that I am praying for comfort, peace and His love to be felt by all of you.
Isaiah 41:10 Don't be dismayed as God is with you.
Blessings,
Cousin, Gay

Carla, Allyson, Erin, Victoria, and Pat,
Mary and I wish to tell you of our sympathy for you upon Gabe's passing. We know there are no words that can make his passing easier. Mary had a brother die in October and even as we get older, it still comes as a shock.
We will keep you in our prayers, knowing that Gabe has gone to a far better place.
Love,
John & Mary

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Know that God is aware of the tears you are shedding. (Psalm 56:18) He will soon do what is said at Acts 24:15, which promises us of a resurrection of our loved ones. May that bring you hope. Take comfort in your good memories and allow your family and loving friends to help you through this difficult time.

Carla, Allyson, Erin, and Tori--Jason and I are deeply sorry for this unexpected and shocking loss. We want you to know how grateful we are to have enjoyed Tori becoming a part of our family, and we regret not being able to meet her dad. Having faced similarly sudden losses in our own lives, we deeply and sincerely sympathize with the shock and heartbreak you are facing now. Please know that we are here for you even though we did not know Gabriel/Tori's dad, and we send our love and prayers to you now and always.

I am very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. God has promised to, one day soon, eliminate death forever, along with all sickness, pain, and sorrow. (Rev.21:4) He has also promised to reunite us with our loved ones on a restored paradise earth. The Bible says he yearns to do this. (John 5:28,29; Job 14:14,15) I hope these scriptures will bring comfort to each of you.
