We just heard a month later. Rarely do we get the chance to be in the light and warmth of such an incredible person. We will miss her but carry fond memories of the times she has graced our neck-o-th-woods with her charm and her stories.

Charlie, Lynn and Caryl, I don't know if you remember me or not, but our family stopped at your house and stayed with you a day or two when we were on vacation many years when we were all quite young. My mom and Dad (Pat and Charlie Cooper) were good friends with your Mom and Dad (They all went to high school together). I actually saw your Mom again several years ago when she came down here to Virginia to my parents surprise 40th wedding anniversary party and your mom was the main hit as she had come the farthest to surprise Mom and Dad. She was a truly special lady and I know the grief you have over her loss. My Mom died in 2011 and Dad in 2000. It's a hard thing to deal with. With God's help and your memories to bless you, I pray that you will keep her memory alive through your kids and grandkids. Karen Cooper

I did not know your mother, however, after reading her obituary, I was drawn in to extend my condolences to your family. She sounds like a very interesting lady who was loved by many. It is not often one reads an obit that is so up-lifting and celebratory of one's life. It seems she would be proud of you all for this tribute.

Dear Family...I am so very sorry for your loss of Darothy. She was such a wonderful woman. I adored working with her when she was a dispatcher at Liverpool Central School District Transportation. She was always so friendly and kind to me, treating me like her own son. She and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Darothy was always true to herself. Her obituary represents this! How excellent! Keith and I enjoyed knowing Darothy during Keith's time as the pastor of Oran Community Church. We both were in school with her children. We are sure Saint Peter is enjoying her company in heaven as much as we will miss her indomitable spirit here on earth. Dear Sue and family of Darothy - We are sorry to hear of the passing of this fine, feisty lady. What a blessing to have known her, at our gatherings in Gettysburg. We will always have a smile when we think of her. She had passion for history and the orange men of Syracuse. being a dedicated fan. She was a fashion trend setter at times with her orange socks and sneakers. Sue, you were a devoted and loving sister to her. May she rest in peace, and will continue to watch down on you all.
