Mrs. Thorp & Family. We are saddened to hear about Mr. Thorp. We too were the lucky recipients of his knowledge regarding fruit trees which he generously shared with us many times.
I have great memories of when Mr. Thorp and I took our dogs to a class in New Woodstock.
My husband purchases a jar of delicious honey for me every Christmas from Thorp's Apiary. It is the best.
We will miss him. We are so sorry for your loss.

Mr. Thorp was true sportsman, a mentor, a role model, a husband, a dad, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a brother and so much to so many people... His words were genuine and from the heart! His love for family was apparent with every breath. His love of the outdoors was also near and dear to his heart... Deer hunting, turkey hunting, and taking care of his bees... Just a few of his passions!!! Mr Thorp once made me a turkey call many years ago which I cherish and use every turkey season.
A wealth of knowledge when it come to raising bees and apple trees. Many knew him as the bee keeper of all bee keepers! Mr.Thorp is one of those once in a lifetime friends that was always there for anyone that asked for a helping hand.
To the family of Mr.Robert E.Thorp... We all will miss him and cherish our memories! A special thank you to Mrs.Thorp for sharing his life with so many! Hopefully there are bees, deer, and turkeys in heaven!
