Frank's ambition was to be a farmer, in 1953 he and Elizabeth purchased , improved and operated pictured farm in Middleburgh,NY, now own and operated by son Frank, Jr and his wife Jane.
Besides farming and Frank working at bakeries or GE at night, Frank and Elizabeth were avid gardeners, for both vegetables and flowers. They raised, canned and froze their meats and vegetables for their family's yearly supply.
Frank's ambition was to farm, in 1953 he and Elizabeth purchased a farm in Middleburgh,NY. They raised crops (corn, wheat, peas for Beechnut, hay) beef cattle, chickens and pigs.As the kids grew there were many other projects...including pheasants and sheep.
In 1945-46 Frank was a baker in the Navy, on the maiden voyage of the USS Midway aircraft carrier. One of his fellow sailors (on right) was turning 18 and never had a birthday cake so Frank (in center) made him one and answered to his superiors afterwords.
Deceased veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces are entitled to several benefits and honors from the government. Allow us to complete the forms to receive the honors they so rightly deserve.
