I have not seen Gib or Cheryl since they got married but I remember growing up with him in Wycote and being in the band. I remember working on his Volkswagen and when he got his 912 Porsche. I'm sorry I never followed up on seeing him.

I was sorry to hear about Gib's passing. My office at Galson was next to his and he was as much of a fixture there as the walls and ceilings. He was a great guy and there were many times I consulted with him on difficult projects. We worked together on only one, the George AFB closure. His dry humor was unique. I remember him producing a slide during a presentation that had a (fake) legal disclosure in a font so tiny it couldn't be read. To spring that on the group in an otherwise extremely dry subject had us all laughing. His family and friends are in our prayers.

My condolences to Gib's family. I had not seen Gib since graduation from Penn Charter. We missed him at the 50th class reunion in May and many classmates asked after him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my racing friend, Gib. I will truly miss those conversations with Gib and Cheryl at the track. A real guy, really living life in a great way.

Wanted to offer my condolences to the Stine family on the passing of Mr.Stine. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Stine a few times but I will always recall the first time. He welcomed our BAFF triathlon team into his home and his back yard for a cook out before the Syracuse Half Ironman. Rest in peace and thank you for shaoing and molding your son Jason into the man he is today

Gib hired me out straight of college to work for him at Galson Technical Services back in 1986. During our 17 years there I found him to be a tough, but fair detail oriented environmental engineer. I owe much of my engineering skills and abilities to his mentorship and training. Also being also involved in motorsports, I always enjoyed spending time with him bench racing about our latest automotive projects. He will be missed.

Gib certainly was a "highly regarded environmental engineer". I can attest to that having worked with Gib for 18 years. He was technically astute and innovative. I learned many things from him, things that I have since taught others. So Gib's life as an environmental engineer lives on in his knowledge being passed on to the next generations.

While racing at Watkins Glen from 2001-2012 my wife and I seemed to always find ourselves in close proximity to Gibson & Cheryl in the garages. We always admired the pleasure which seemed to surround their racing effort and each other’s company at the track. I never witnessed any frantic moments from the Stine’s which quite often is inherent to the sport. It appeared to us they were doing exactly what they wanted, how they wanted, and enjoying it thoroughly. Our condolences to the family.
