Obituary of Donald K. Wright

Donald K. Wright, 88, of New Woodstock, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 15, 2023. He was born May 23, 1935 in Roosevelt Island, New York to Lawrence Wright, Sr. and Julia Wright. Don was the owner of LIC Collision in Queens for several years. He and his son, Michael were also co-owners of M & D Transportation, Inc. He enjoyed collecting antiques, classic cars and just about anything of value. Don is survived by his children, Michael Lee Wright of New Woodstock, Donald Kenneth Harris “Jr.” of Florida and Patricia Wright Saccone of Plainview; his grandchildren, Harrison and Raymond Wright; several nieces and nephews; his caregiver and nephew, Vincent Wright, Jr. of New Woodstock and by Michael's mother, Dee. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas Wright. Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023 with services to follow at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. Graveside services will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, 9003 Route 23A, Hunter, NY 12442.
