Mark and Marie and Family-
So very, very sorry to learn of Ann’s passing.

Ann surprised me on many occasions with her delicious scones (my favorite). She knew that I loved them and she would surprise me by stopping by for a visit with scones in hand. She will be deeply missed.

Ann (Mrs. Frost) represented so very well a home to me when mine was untenable, motherly guidance when life resounded with merely empty spaces, an incredible meal when left to my own devices, and a light when darkness was near. I will miss her.

Dear Ann's Family,
I will miss visiting with Ann. We have both been in I'll health recently, but still enjoyed discussing our good days at the "River" & our favorite recipes. Especially, our strawberry-rhubarb jam. Blackstone Bay will not be the same without her. May God bring comfort to all of you.

I’m so sad to hear of Ann Marie’s passing. I enjoyed visiting her up on the St. Lawrence with my mom Virginia ( Kraft ) Hodell. I loved hearing about all the shenanigans mom and Ann got into in their youth and the many 4th of July’s we got to sit on the Spilman porch for the parade. Rest In Peace my dear Godmother.

Mom, I’ll really miss being able to visit you often and talk about everything that was going on in our lives. You were so proud of your six children, and would tell that to everyone you interacted with, and believe me that meant a lot to us. Karen, Hayley, Kate, Kelly, Tara and I will miss you dearly. The 34 of us in the three generations descended from you and Dad will continue to strive to justify the pride you had in us. I am greatly comforted by the knowledge that you are now once again able to be with loved ones you were so close to, especially Dad, Grandma and Grandaddy. Thank you for always being there for me. I will love you always.

Mommom was a wonderful grandmother. I'm sad she had to leave us, but happy she can be re-united with the love of her life. I'll remember her as a wonderful baker - specializing in cinnamon rolls and coffee coffee cake. As a homemaker, she taught me how to knit and sew at a young age. She was a devote Catholic, taking me to church as a child. She loved to spend time at The River with its lapping waves, fresh air, and beautiful sunsets. Love you forever.

My husband Matthew and I send our most sincere condolences to the family, especially to Val and Jimmy. Little did we know that Ann made the apple pies for the Apple Festival and Brah Loch too. We have enjoyed many pies over the dozens of years at both venues and knowing she made them makes me feel so thankful to have experienced her talent as a baker. May all your cherished memories bring solace and joy to you all in your time of sorrow as you celebrate her life well lived. Much love and friendship, Marianne and Matthew Dalton
