There are no words to express the deep sense of loss we feel over the passing of Rich. Living down the street from both of you, his presence was an integral part of the neighborhood . We all depended on him to get the dock job done right, with a lot of laughs mixed in, along with interesting stories. What will we do now? It will never be the same. It was also easy to get real with Rich. Always down for some great conversations. He will be so missed. May he now be in restful peace.

We were deeply saddened by the passing of our cousin Richie. I will always remember that beautiful, infectious smile of his. When we spoke on the phone, while he was fighting this horrible disease, I could see that smile and twinkle in his eye in my mind. I will miss you, Cousin. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To a life well lived my friend! You truly warmed the heart of everyone you met and provided such joy and happiness. You will be missed by all, but I’m sure none more than Pam. Pam, and the extended Borsellino family, my heart goes out to you. Just always remember what a great man Richie is! What a treasure to have known him and shared time with you all. Thank you for your friendship and wonderful memories! God Bless! Rich Tordoff

After almost 56 years….. out of the blue I received a text message from Richie in July of 2024. We speak a few days later. He sends me pictures and he has the same incredible loving smile. We reminisce about growing up in the Bronx and the playground on Magenta Street we all cherished. I was so sorry to hear about his passing since I was looking forward to speaking to him again. Rest in peace, childhood friend.

Richie and I were good friends since we met at Con Edison in 1973. I just wanted to share one memory. Richie and I shared a love of music. When Jackson Brown came out with his “Late for the sky” album I enjoyed every song on the album and lent the album to Richie. I told him that I even loved the album cover. When Richie returned the album to me, he gave me a painting he made of the album cover, which I attached to the photos in this site. I always cherished Richie’s painting.
Richie was a true lover of life. Although in recent years I did not see Richie often, we would talk by phone a few times a year and it was always great to speak with him. He would share stories about Pam and his beautiful family with me. During one of our last conversations he told me he was felling better and took Pam dancing and how much he enjoyed that day.
Rest in peace, Richie. I will always to thankful to have you as a friend and for the memories together. Eddie F
