Mark Broggs lit a candle

Hi this is Mark Briggs, son of Laura Briggs (Evans). I will always remember Uncle Bill as a great man and as a rock, foundation and leader in the Evans family , a great brother of three, and a great friend to many. Although we were in California and overseas most of my early years, I have fond memories of visiting Nelson for a few weeks a number of times during summers and the privilege of spending time with Uncle Bill. Time spent on the Farmall Model H Tractor was one awesome experience for a young boy. I note his calm, collected and knowledgeable demeanor reacting to any issues that came up was always really appreciated by all, especially to Mildred (my grandma) who he looked after diligently after the loss of his father, Owen Evans in 1967. My hat is off to my Cousin Billy, who lovingly dedicated his life to care of Uncle Bill and Aunt Jeanne in their final years. May God Bless you Uncle Bill. You are sorely missed.
