Obituary of Barbara A. Mitchell
Barbara Anne E. (Whiting) Mitchell, 87, of Cazenovia passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Binghamton. She was born April 26, 1938 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to Ernest and Marion Whiting. Barbara was employed as a housekeeper at the Cazenovia Motel for many years and was known for her kind and polite demeanor. Barb always made time to listen, provide love, support and LOTS of hugs. She was very devoted to her family and always placed others needs before her own.
Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, SheriAnne and Paul Geertgens of Binghamton; her brothers, David Whiting of Parry Sound, Canada and Doug Whiting of Wasaga Beach, Canada; her grandchildren, Sarah (Perkins) Carr, Lily-Anne Mauzy and Kevin Bryant; two great grandchildren, Timothy James Furch and Evelyn Raya Bushnell. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Raymond J. Mitchell and by her sister, Laurie (Whiting) Brown.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Wilsonville Cemetery, 456 Concession Three in Wilsonville, Ontario, Canada.
