Growing up in Montclair, Bobbie was “ Mrs Constable” to me , and our family of five kids along with the four Constable boys, spent many fun times together! I was always amazed at how polite and friendly her boys were, and how she brought her sunshine approach to any gathering! She had impeccable taste in clothes, and was always involved in her own activities, as well as raising four rambunctious boys! I admired her tremendously, and appreciate the wonderful friend she was to my Mom, Helen. Please accept my condolences at her passing, and feel comfort that she continues to bring a smile to my face when I think of her happy outlook on life. Thank you, Mrs Constable!

Each week in my chair, she brought warmth, wisdom, and a radiant positivity that never failed to brighten my day. She didn’t just come for a haircut—she came with kindness, curiosity, and genuine care. She asked about my family, shared stories from her long and beautiful life, and made sure I knew how much she appreciated me. Her ability to make others feel valued was one of her greatest gifts. Always bringing me candy, cookies or a handwritten note for my birthday or Valentine’s Day. I will miss her laughter, her gentle encouragement, and the way she could make even an ordinary day feel special. Her memory will always remind me to approach life with gratitude, kindness, and interest in the people around me—just as she did so effortlessly. Rest peacefully, Bobbie. You were a blessing in my life, and I’m so grateful for every moment we shared.

I first met Bobbie at the Cazenovia Library where I work. Whenever I would see her we’d chat for a few minutes, about books, music and things going on in the community. She was such a lovely, warm and kind person in all that she did. She will be missed by so many….
