Obituary of Lynn Conroy

Lynn Silvanic Conroy, 60, of Cazenovia, went to her Savior on September 28th, 2013. Lynn was born in Binghamton the daughter of Peter and Martha Silvanic. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Conroy, her mother, Martha and brother Thomas Silvanic of Florida; her niece Heidi Anne (Aubrey) Fletcher and nephew Cash; her stepchildren, Kerry (Adam) Messer, Todd (Danai) Conroy of Virginia, and Michelle Conroy of California; six grandchildren; her beloved cats, Hieronymus, Pywacket and Delinea at home; several aunts, uncles and cousins in the Triple Cities area and numerous friends in CNY and around the country. Lynn graduated from Chittenango High School and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She is the former owner of the Wizards Printer in Chittenango and was a Licensed Real Estate Agent with several companies in CNY, most recently with Hunt Real Estate in Manlius. Lynn was the former secretary of CNY Conan Pop Warner Football; President of Cazenovia Rotary Club and very active with the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY. She was a Chairperson for the CROP walk in Cazenovia. Lynn was a Communicant of St. James Church in Cazenovia where she was a member of the Parish Council and Lector. Lynn and her family especially want to thank her caregivers at the Regional Oncology Center at University Hospital and the staff on 10 East at University Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Sheila Lemke of University Hospital. Lynn fought a courageous 7 ½ year battle with breast cancer. She encouraged and inspired many during her illness. Her wish was to have contributions directed towards the Carol M. Baldwin Research Fund or to the Upstate Cancer Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am Saturday, October 5th at St. James Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia. Lynn's family will receive following the Mass. Rite of Committal will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Cazenovia.
