Obituary of Lawrence Cantwell

Lawrence F. Cantwell, 83, of Cazenovia, died Monday at Francis House. Larry was the former operations Manager for Mohawk Carpet in Syracuse. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the US Power Squadron. He was predeceased by his wife Joan and brother Vincent. A devoted family man, he is survived by his daughter, Dr. Maria (Joe) Ziemba; his son Larry (Anne) Cantwell; his grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel, Anna, Becca, John, Ben and Danny and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:30 PM on Saturday at St. James Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia. Rite of Committal will be in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-8 pm Friday at the Tait Funeral Home, Inc., 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. Larry's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Staff at Francis House for their wonderful care over the past 4 months. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House.
