Brian Scot Babcock, 64, went home to be with his parents and sister on Thursday April 17th, 2014 at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville, NY. Brian was a funny, smart and quirky character. He could, in turns, endear and exasperate but he was never boring. He enjoyed playing chess and tinkering with his computers. He loved listening to music, especially The Moody Blues, The Doors and The Rolling Stones. He was an avid fisherman and in his younger days, he spent many happy hours fishing Chittenango Creek.
Brian is survived by his children, Denise E. Matteson of Rome, Christian D. Babcock of Floyd, Katie C. Babcock of Sherrill, and Nicholas B. Babcock of Virginia, his sister Lauran Throop and her husband Daniel, a nephew Benjamin Throop and a niece Jessica Throop Heilmann, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Babcock in 1997, his mother Ann Babcock in 2013 and his sister Lynn (Nina) Babcock in 2010.
