Obituary of Karl Spooner

Karl Spooner, Jr., 50, of DeRuyter, died Wednesday July 1st in Cortland. Born on January 7, 1965 in Waltham, Massachusetts, the son of Katherine and Karl Spooner; brother to Kristine, Kelli and the late Kimberly who has met him in Heaven. As a young adult, Karl loved to camp, hike, skate and study and especially loved to visit amusement parks with his family. Karl loved anything to do with nature, Camping, fishing and gardening. He also loved reading, puzzles, movies and building things with his hands He graduated from high school in Marboro, MA. He was formerly employed as a carpenter by Westminster Woodworking Company. Karl met his wife Mylyn in 1983. Between the two of them, they had six children, Brhandi, Sarah Lee, Ann Trevor, Isayah and Katie; their grandchildren, Nyessah, Jassimine, Jonas, Nathan and Parker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his step-father, James Boule. Karl was a loving and caring son, brother, father, uncle, husband and friend to many. He was a man who kept to himself, but would do anything for anyone. His legacy will live on. We will miss you Karl and until we met again !
