To Ann and the entire Altmeyer family, please accept my sincere condolences concerning the death of our friend Jack. I got to know him first as a customer, then out of this business relationship a friendship grew that included Jack, Ann, Sandy and myself. Whether it was on the golf course, at an SU game, or on the slopes at Tog we always had a great time together. What I'll miss about him, his intelligence, his wit, and most of all his laugh. Jack had a wonderful laugh that could fill a room. The fun lunches we had, talking politics and agreeing with each other were always something to look forward to. The picture accompanying this memorial is quite appropriate, it shows him bright-eyed, alert, and with a smile on his face, just the way I remember him. So long buddy. Sincerely, Arnold Scarano

I was sad to learn that Jack had passed away. My late husband, David Bennett, befriended Jack at AA. Jack was such a positive force in David's recovery and a true friend. In turn, David enjoyed bringing Jack to meetings and they had many good conversations. I enjoyed entertaining Jack and Ann for dinner. I am grateful to AA and Jack for giving David a community where he could feel accepted. My heart goes out to Ann and your family. Jack will be greatly missed. Barbara

Dear Ann, How Jack loved and appreciated you and his family! He found delight his grandchildren and shared that delight with us. I remember when you moved to Cazenovia because you moved into our old home on Lincklean Street. I was so blessed to have him in my life fifty years later. He lived in the company of some pretty great people, I know he is catching up with his pals and family in heaven as he radiates his deep love and devotion to you.
