Our condolences to all the Romig family. John was a friend to so many in the area, and leaves a void with his passing. He was so proud of his family, and had a smile as he shared that on each conversation. He will be missed, but lives on through his children...for sure.

John and I got to spend many hours together during his fitness routines, over the years. He was unequivocally the most unselfish person I have ever had the pleasure to know. He spoke in riddles sometimes, but he always kept me on the up and up and pushed me to pursue my dreams. He had a giant heart and a tremendous sense of humor. I'm sad that we weren't able to enjoy another springtime get together, at Dave's Diner , enjoying his favorite breakfast of eggs benedict. His treat, of course, as he always insisted on buying. I am thankful that John was such a great to friend to me. Friends like him don't come around very often. I miss you John. You are truly an inspiration.

My deepest condolences to the Romig and Lombardi Families on your loss. I have the fondest memories of John, when thinking back to our countless hours spent together in my gym, in pursuit of the "ultimate physique" as he would sometimes put it. John had a special brand of humor that always entertained me and that I will never forget. John was the most solid of people I have ever met. Rest in peace friend.

So many years since I've seen you, but do remember your dad and discussions we had when he brought you to , I think it was still cross courts in Liverpool, to play tennis in the leagues I ran. I truly do not know the words to speak now that I will not see him anymore. I am really going to miss our morning chats. But mostly I am going to miss not seeing him every time I come around my desk. Just to sit in in office & talk was so enlightening. He has shown me how to be a tough person in my position & through all of it I've learned how to progress at what I do. To that I own him my gratitude. John: I know you didn't want this but you fought through everything else you went through. I am glad you are now at peace but my days will not go by without thinking of you.

My sincere sympathy to the family and loved ones of "Big John". My husband and I would marvel at his relentless work ethic as we saw him hard at work morning after morning at 5:30 a.m. as we were on our way to dialysis. He was always so gracious and kind. May he be rejoicing now in his new Heavenly Home.
