My dear Brother-in-law: We have known each other for now on to seventy years and the love for one another remains steadfast.
I will never forget the time you and I ate crackers and stuffed olives you picked up from Mom and the day went by fast watching the world series games. Of course you were on the opposite side. That day Butchie layed on the floor propped up by a large pillow and seemed to laugh at the picture and you said he would be a ball player some day. Anyway dearest Merwin you will always be in my heart and memories abound. May you not only see your brothers there by Mom and your brother Leonard also as well as my daughter Thelma. I know you are there with Jesus so I will not worry any more about the pain you have suffered.
I love you and will always. Sis

So sorry to hear of Merwin's passing. he will be remembered by all who knew him as a real "character"! I used to see him almost daily when I worked at Paul's Food Market and he always put a smile on my face! always there early and shopping for bargains!

Uncle.....I have no doubt you are now swapping lies with your brothers... Everett and Harlan... as well as with Rusty and Duke and John. Surely by now you have found the heavenly bowling alley and with your hand restored by our Lord are bowling strikes one after another. A contest between us to see who had the best dry (and sarcastic) witticisms was always fun after we imbibed in a few cocktails at the bowling alley in Caz during my annual trips up north. I love you Merwin. May the Lord give my cousins and all his friends comfort and peace knowing you are now home. God Bless.....Rose

All my prayers to family & friends , Merwin will be missed . He was always gruff tuff stern & direct as I have always known him ,& you always knew where ya stood . My last conversation with him I asked why he was always so stern & gruff sounding & he replied If I didn't like ya I wouldn't even waist my time to talk to ya . I knew he meant it & in a way it was endearing . Honest & direct , I will miss that . God speed Merwin give all my love ..
