Serafin “Guero” Muñiz-Jimenez, 69, of Fulton, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2017. A native of City La, Naranjita Municieio, De Juadalcazan San, Luis Popsi Mexico, Guero lived in Fulton for the past 27 years and was employed as a farm worker with Ferlito Farms in Oswego. Serafin had a strong Catholic faith and was devoted to Mother Mary. A hard worker, Guero was a tanner and made all types of leather items. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, visiting the New York State Fair and tending to his chickens and roosters. He was a giving person and never asked for anything in return for his friendship and generosity.
Serafin is survived by his three children, Samuel “Sammy” Jimenez, Angelita Jimenez and Frank “Frankie” Jimenez; his companion of 27 years, Carol M. Ciaccia and several brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton. The family will receive friends Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the church atrium prior to the mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
