I was very saddened to learn of Dick's passing. He was a very kind and friendly man. I hadn't seen him for several years and am so glad that I was able to speak with him at a recent retirement party. Our condolences to Dick’s family of his recent passing. We were stationed together at SP New Hartford after graduating from the NYSP Academy in 1962. At that time we were working 12 hour shifts under the watchful eye of Lt. Scoville. Dick & I would shoot the breeze in our bedroom until the Lt. was finished doing his business in the bathroom. Troopers, especially new troopers with 4” issue revolvers, couldn’t even walk into the bathroom until the Lt. left the room. Many memories of your loved one.

Dick was a good man who loved the job. He had 32 years on the job when I transferred to SP Morrisville as a young Trooper. So many things he said about the job then are still true today. Our condolences to the family and God bless them. RIP.
