Carl T. Guldy, Sr., 89, of Erieville, passed away peacefully Monday, September 14, 2020 at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn. He was born November 21, 1930 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Ralph and Nell Guldy. Carl was employed by Carrier Corporation in Syracuse for 40 years, retiring in 1996 as a Production Control Expediter. Upon his retirement from Carrier, Carl began working at Wegmans in DeWitt in their Dairy Department until 2011. He was also a “hobby farmer” and enjoyed spending time on his farm. Carl was an EMT with CAVAC, a member of the Erieville Fire Department and a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Carlene Bouley, her son, Joe Newell and her daughter, Ashley Newell and her family; his son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Delia Guldy, Jr.; his sister, Ann Reamer as well as several nieces and nephews including his close nephew, Alan Guldy. In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his wife, Beva; grandson, Tommy Newell; brothers, Ralph, Edward and Albert Guldy and several extended family. Carl’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of The Commons on St. Anthony for the compassionate care provided to Carl during his extended stay at their facility.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, October, 10, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia. Calling hours were held Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Rd., Cazenovia. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Cazenovia.
