She 5oo was a frequent visitor to Deruyter Fireman's Field day's were we would visit there. I also wanted to tell you all my dad passed Monday 10/12/2020 also. It is a loss for all our families but I truly believe they are sharing smiles, conversations in heaven now.

I would like to have your home address so I can write out my thoughts and send a Mass Remembrance to the Family. I received your message on our sosf website and want you to know that all the Sisters have access to the site.
I was the Director of Volunteers at St. Joseph for thirteen years and knew your dear mother and father. I always connected Dr. Nugent and Doctor Hastie as they were such wonderful friends and highly respected at St. Josephs. Your dear mother was a woman of dignity, very gentle and dearly loved.
When they were in Florida during our severe winters they always wrote to me .It was always a treat when they came to St. Josephs during the summers.
in truth there are very few Sisters left who were at St. Josephs during those wonderful days. So many have gone to their eternal rewards as well as the wonderful Doctors who were there at the time...Dr. Mullen, Dr. Austin, Dr. Bernstein to mention a few.
We had to vacate our beautiful Motherhouse on Court Street six years ago and now live on Buckley Road in a Hearth Community Villa called The Franciscan Villa.
Because of this Covid and the age and health of the Sisters we are confined like so many. I am so sorry to hear of your parents passing. I did not know of Doctor Hastie's death but you can be assured of my prayers and love and deep sympathy for the whole family..
I read once that death is like putting out the lamp for Dawn has come. Your dear mother and Dad now are at peace in the arms of the dear Lord.
Love and Prayers,
Sister myra Richards,

Beth, I’m so sorry for your loss. You look a lot like your mom and I never realized where your love for all animals came from. I’m sure your mom is finally at peace and smiling down on you from above. Your devotion to her these last few years was apparent to all. Prayers and thoughts to you and your family! Missy DeGennaro

There have been so many wonderful memories made with Grandma throughout the years. My most special memory is when I spent my freshman year spring break in Florida with grandma and grandpa. We have a lot of going out to eat and of course going to Lion Country Safari. You will always be in my heart grandma! I love you!

The Silfer family most enjoyed trips to Lake George, Lion Country Safari, the Morikami Japanese Gardens and Delray Beach. Whether in New York or Florida we loved seeing nature and animals through mom's eyes. Beth will fondly remember the time alone with mom in Florida after dad's passing. Peaceful moments reflecting on her role as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother while sitting quietly in the Morikami Japanese Gardens will never be forgotten. We were all blessed with her kind heart and warm smile!❤️

Grandma I am at a loss for words. So many memories of you are on my mind and in my heart. One memory I have is that of you teaching 4-year-old me the correct way to feed Mini your horse a carrot. Another memory I have is that of sharing a love of flowers with you. You loved the flowers in your front yard and, as a teenager, at times I would help you care for them during the summer. My favorite flowers today include Japanese Anemones, Peonies, and Roses. I realize now that these are all flowers in your front yard. These memories and many, many more will live on in my heart forever Grandma. Memories of being loved, encouraged and guided by the Best Grandma a girl could ever have can never fade away. Love you Grandma. -Becky

Best mother anyone could ever wish to have. She will be remembered by those who knew her, first and foremost as someone who loved to have fun! What a hilarious and frequently dry sense of humor she had. Even when she wasn't happy with whatever you had done or said, she would get her point across in a disarming way, couched in humor. You could laugh, but you better learn from your mistake. We were constantly laughing. Even toward the end, when helping her move about, she would describe our steps together as being worthy of Dancing With The Stars, one of her favorite shows (not mine). My earliest memory of mom, the first time she ever handed me the family check to keep safe until it was time to place it in the basket at Church. She was an amazing role model and I knew her to be a faithful servant of God, always looking for ways to help others in love without expecting anything in return, never thinking of her own needs. She was grateful for every blessing/gift she received and hoped to inspire others to live a life of virtue, with humility, love, and compassion. Whether I was leaving for a long trip, a visit to the corner store, or saying goodnight; her last words to me were always "be good." So, friends, have fun and be good.

I always enjoyed coming to visit you whether it was in Cazenovia or Wellington since it meant great (and often humorous) conversation, family gatherings and good food. No get together would have been possible without you as you kept busy attending to everyone needs. I always looked forward to your grape drink during thanksgiving. I’m grateful for the time we had together, you will be greatly missed.
Love, Ian

Mom, I am so thankful you were my mom. You got seven kids through college. You were always so funny. All of our kids felt your love so strong. Everyone always says how much I look like you and I consider that the highest compliment. Thanks for all the time I could enjoy with you. Love, Pat
