Obituary of Christopher Johnson

Christopher Johnson, resident of the Catherine St. IRA in Chittenango, commenced his heavenly life on August 18, 2021. The son of Eleanor and William Johnson, Chris was raised in Cazenovia and lived there until 2008. Anyone who interacted with Christopher quickly learned that he possessed a gentle soul. His kind disposition emanated a goodness which empowered people to bring kindness to the world. Chris enjoyed listening to music and rocking with his toys, being in the presence of family life, going on excursions with the group at 105 Catherine St., and having a tasty treat. Chris is survived by his devoted mother Eleanor Johnson, as well as his siblings Bernadette Jankauskas of Schenectady, Rebecca (Rafael) Figueroa of Rexford, Peter Johnson of Cazenovia, Matthew (Maria) Johnson of Morristown, NJ, and Andrew (Kelli) Johnson of Cazenovia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his father, William, and his sister, Mary Regina. The Johnson family would like to express sincere gratitude to Chris’ caretakers at the Catherine St. IRA. The loving care provided to Chris was evident through his smile and is truly appreciated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Cazenovia.
