Obituary of Edwin C. Bobbette, Jr.

Edwin C. Bobbette, Jr., 62, of Fabius, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021. Ed was born May 4, 1959 in Syracuse to Edwin C. and Lenora Bobbette and was a graduate of Fabius-Pompey High School in 1978. He retired in 2014 from the Town of Fabius Highway Department after 20 years of service where he was employed as a motor equipment operator. Edwin was also a self-employed mason and worked alongside his father for over 30 years in the Fabius-Pompey area. He was a fan of Ford automobiles and was the proud owner of a 1972 Ford Mustang Mach I and a 1977 Ford F-150 pickup truck. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed playing the New York State Lotto. Edwin is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nancy Bobbette; his children, Dennis (Jennifer) Bobbette of Fabius, Bridget Bobbette of Marathon, Erickah Bobbette of Fabius and Mickayla Bobbette of Fabius; his mother, Lenora Bobbette of Fabius; six sisters, Beth (Rick) Bower of New Hampshire, Brenda (Doug) Tily of Fabius, Pat (Fred) Greenfield of East Syracuse, Donna (Ken Purcell) Alnutt of Pompey, Laurie Bobbette of North Carolina and Amy Bobbette of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Peyton and Cooper. Ed was predeceased by his father, Edwin “Pops” Bobbette. A Celebration of Life for Edwin will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 beginning at 12 p.m. at the Pompey Rod and Gun Club, 2035 Swift Rd., Pompey.
