While in high School, Cheryl and I would go to the laundramat and fold Sheets. Mrs. Grubb taught me how to fold fitted sheets. She would give us bus fare to go into Syracuse for Cheryl's dance lessonsI I will always remember Mrs. Grubb and King Grubb. While grieving for your Mom (grandma) remember all the wonderful memories of her while you were growing up.

A cookie jar that was always full. A candy tin that was never empty. A deck of cards that was always close. A picnic table that was always set. A needle that was always threaded. A walk through the woods that was always timely. A camping trip that was always planned. A bowl of ice cream that was always promised. A loving hug that was always shared. A hymn that was waiting to be be sung. A pattern waiting to be designed. Grandma, you are a piece to our family puzzle that can never be replaced. We can hold on to the heartfelt homemade items you made us... the quilts, the plastic canvas decorations, the Christmas tree skirts, the hot plate carriers. We can hold tighter to the memories... the laughs over a card game, the bed time instructions, "time to climb the golden stairs," "turn and face the wall," the tone with which you called us... we knew we'd better answer fast! Everyone could see the light in your eyes when you were surrounded by your children, grands and great grands, alike. The closer they were, the brighter your smile! Your endurance and dedication was second to none. Your patience was that of Job. Your love, endless. I am grateful for my childhood memories, treasures that you placed in my life. I am thankful even more for the moments you shared with my children. Your time in Georgia was priceless. We witnessed Mom and Dad lovingly care for you in a way that I am sure you modeled for them first. Their generosity in hosting you, opened the door for my little ones to make a connection that will last a lifetime. I am thankful that they provided a way for us to spend time with you. You held your own with the next generation of card players. Braden couldn't keep any tricks up his sleeves with you at the table. He held your hand to walk with you, sat with you to tell you stories and smiled at you when your expression said all the things you wanted to say. You sang "happy birthday" to Isla when she turned two and shared Elmo cake with her. And on the day Ezra was born, I packed you a hospital bag and let you have my wheelchair at the hospital. Although you had "been there, done that" (times six) what a unique day to share with you! Grandma, you were loved deeply! You will be missed greatly! And remembered sweetly! Love you!!

Dear Mom, Love you mom and miss you very much already. Terribly sad I did not get to hug you one last time. Thanks for loving your children no matter what you went through. We will never forget the fun you promoted at camp for the whole family to enjoy table games, picnic times and activities on the river. Thanks for being a loving caring mom and grandmother who adored my children with your sweet smile and sharing your hobbies. Wonderful memories for us all. Love you forever, Rick
