Obituary of Y. LaCourse

Y. Ronald LaCourse, 68, passed away on Monday peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Ron married Carol Lynn Bieganowski on November 5th 1966. After earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from Clarkson University, Ron worked many years for GE in Utica. At the time of his retirement, Ron was a Senior Manager of engineering for Lockheed Martin in Syracuse. Ron belonged to the Elfun Society in Utica. Ron was also a board member for the Adirondack 7th Lake Association. Ron was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed many happy years at the family camp, Merrywood, on 7th Lake. There the family spent time fishing, boating, waterskiing and sitting by the camp fire. Ron was a kind, compassionate and gentle man who gave of himself to family and friends. Ronald's spirit will live in the hearts of his loving family. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years Carol Lynn LaCourse; two brothers Julian (Phyllis) LaCourse and Claude (Rita) LaCourse. Ron has three sons Christopher (Pamela) LaCourse of Pleasanton, CA, Jeffrey (Alicia) LaCourse of Gastonia, NC, and Scott (Carmen) LaCourse of Oakley, CA; Five Grandchildren Aaron, Dylan, Kyle, Daniel, and Jamie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 27th at noon at St. James Catholic Church, 6 Green Street, Cazenovia. Calling Hours will be Friday October 26th from 4-7 pm at Tait Funeral Home, Inc. 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia.
