Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mitchell family. Ray looks much like his Mother and this reminds me of growing up in the Village of York. Ray was a bit older than I was, but I remember how excited his family and friends were when he came home to visit. He always seemed happy to be back in York
With deepest sympathy

So sad to hear of Uncle Ray's passing. I have a few cherished memories of my Uncle Ray. One was when he showed up as a surprise at my wedding and what a wonderful surprise that was indeed! The other memory I have is that he was always on the cutting edge of technology, he brought the very first calculator I ever saw to our house and showed me how he could turn it upside down and it would show different words like "hello" and a few other words I wont show here. I thought that was so cool. It was a rare visit when Uncle Ray would come from the United States for a visit and I remember he always took the time to talk to me individually. Another memory is running into him by accident at Wendy's restaurant in Hamilton when he was on a business trip to the Pop Shoppe located across the road. Sometimes the unexpected visits are the ones we remember most. I will always remember you, Uncle Ray. My condolences to Aunt Barb, Sherri and the whole family.
